Jeff Galloway Video (Part 4)

The Jeff Galloway Acceleration – Glider Drill performed once a week will help you become faster and go the distance.  This interval training drill teaches you to increase speed during your workout and gently move into a gliding stride.  Let’s hit the road with Jeff Galloway.

To be honest, I have nothing much to say about this since I've never tried this drill before.  Looks good though.  I'll incorporate it in my next run.

Well folks, this is the last of the Galloway videos sent to me by RunDisney.  I sure hope you learned something.  I agreed to share his videos because I so believe in his method.  In 3 weeks, on my first marathon, I'll be doing a 5:1 run-walk ratio (5 minute run and 1 minute walk).  I believe this will help me conserve energy so I can kick it in the last few miles all the way to the finish line.

30 Days of Thanks (Day 17)

I am thankful for all the BAD THINGS that has happened in my life - they happened for a reason. We experience these things so we can see the light and we need to understand that in every bad situation, there is the potential to make us better and stronger.  More importantly, the bad stuff has deepened my faith in God immensely.

  4. I'm going to be doing a run/walk strategy as well during the second half of the marathon. That's the goal. I think it'll help. I've been doing that in my training. I run 15 miles on my long runs and then usually do a 10min run, 1min walk and repeat until the end.

  5. Thanks for the video. To be honest I still have a hard time to understand the "glide", it looks like he is running :) I trained with the Jeff G. method for my first marathon as well and it was perfect! His trainings schedule allows the body to get easily adjusted to the distance. Good luck your marathon!!
