Gear Review & Giveaway: Sweaty Bands

I am all about headbands these days, have you noticed?  It could be because of the "I -made-a-big-mistake-of-cutting-my-own-bangs" incident, so I need headbands to keep the (too) short strands of hair off my face.  Ok, you can stop laughing now.  And NO, I am not uploading a picture of my bangs.  Let's get serious here.  I am giving away a very cute headband from Sweaty Bands.  But first things first.

What exactly are Sweaty Bands?

"We’ve turned perspiration into a fashion sensation! Sweaty Bands are the ultimate sports and fitness headband, uniquely designed for women and girls who want to show their style, even when they sweat a while! Slip into one today and become a Sweaty Bands believer."

I wore this during one of my tempo runs and then once again during my speedwork.  And I must say that their claim of....
is absolutely TRUE!
No-Slip Grip You see, this has always been an issue for me when I wear thinner headbands.  I don't know if it's my smooth silky hair (LOL! :p) or my flat head (no thanks to grandma for making me sleep on my back as a baby! :p) that causes this.  Nonetheless, I am happy to report that the Sweaty Band stayed stuck to my flat head with smooth silky hair perfectly! =)

No Squeeze Fit
There were other thin headbands before that stuck to my head like glue, but the reason why it did was because they were too tight --like death grip kindda tight!  More often than not, I would get headaches from wearing such headbands.  Not good.  Especially if you're running or working out.  With the Sweaty band, I was headache-free even after wearing it hours after my run.

Cuteness Overload
If you visit their website, you'll see a whole gamut of styles, prints and colors to choose from -- making it very difficult to choose just one and very tempting to buy a LOT.  They even have smaller sizes and styles for the kiddos called, "Sweaty Bandits".  If you have a small head, this size might be perfect for you.

Get great, stylish, and neat hair without the hurt courtesy of Sweat Bands!

Yes, I am a believer!

Why do I look dazed here? Oh nevermind!

30 Days of Thanks (Day 16)

I am thankful for having the world's greatest GODMOTHER!  My "ninang" Elizabeth has ALWAYS been there for me since day 1 of my life here on earth.  She helped my grandparents raise me and to this day, whenever I need someone to talk to, she is there.  I know she loves me like I'm her own daughter.  She wasn't just part of my baptism when I was a baby, but she continues to play a huge role in my life.  In my book, she is the perfect example of what a Godmother should be. Surely mine rivals Cinderella's! Ha!
