Gear Review and Giveaway: RoadID

I've always wanted my very own RoadID ever since I started running last year.  So what's the hold up?  As superficial as it may sound, I was delaying getting one because I couldn't decide which mantra or quote to put at the bottom.

Lately, I've been hearing about runners being hit and cyclists being involved in vehicular accidents which miraculously sped up my decision making.  What fear can do, huh?!  I was able to think of what quote to put and coincidentally was contacted by OutsidePR to review any of their items.  Of course, I chose to review the RoadID.

Was really excited to get this in the mail...

The Wrist ID Elite just might be the sexiest ID in the Road ID lineup. With its rubberized band and watch-style buckle, this sleek ID has you covered on the bike, in the boardroom and everywhere in-between. It's perfect for all of your outdoor activities and knows how to play it cool at formal events. With the Elite, you get valuable peace of mind with a look that’s just right for everyday wear. Yes, we know, it's a bit more expensive. But, when you put it on, you'll know why you spent the extra money. Get your Wrist ID Elite today...your life may depend on it. Available in eight colors and both Original and Interactive versions. It's fully adjustable, so one size fits all.
Satin Finish Stainless Steel: $29.99

I chose the Wrist ID Elite since this was what my runner friends recommended.  It's a little more expensive (by $10) than the Sport version.  I like it because it's made of a non-porous material so I won't have to worry about getting it all dirty and stinky.  It was also pretty easy to adjust to my small wrist size.  This style also had more color choices.  As you can see, I finally just chose black because I was THAT confused.  I practically wanted all the colors!

I'm glad that I finally own one.  And my family feels the same way.  We just moved to this area and I always swim, run and bike alone.  There were times when I would forget to bring my California ID.  Or maybe I was just too lazy transferring it from my wallet to my running belt.

This is a MUST-HAVE for everyone enjoying the outdoors.  You can put in vital information that can save your life:  name, year of birth, important contact numbers, blood type, and allergies.  There's just so much room to laser engrave all info.

No internet or 3G needed with the RoadID

I'm pretty sure you don't want to end up in a hospital, unidentified, and doctors not knowing what you are allergic to and your family waiting at home wondering what's taking you so long to return, right? *knocks on wood*  I know you are WAY smarter than that.  Don't be like me.  Don't delay it.

The RoadID comes in many forms.  Some you can wear on your wrist, shoe, ankle, and they even have dog tags.  So take your pick!  So much to choose from.  If you already own one --- please do not ever run, bike, swim, hike or do any other outdoor sports without it.   Pretty please?  And if you know another athlete who doesn't own one, do consider giving this as a gift this Holiday season.

I know the price is a little on the high side, but really -- You can't put a price on safety and peace of mind. This little piece of metal, can one day really save your life!

30 Days of Thanks (Day 2)

I'm thankful for the home that we have. I'm awed & very humbled that we are able to have a wonderful home w/ it's beautiful surroundings. We just moved in to our new place but we've already created so much memories in just a few months. Not much furniture yet but getting there :p Also thankful for the laughter that rings true in my home. Nothin' like a family that laughs together. =)

  3. I just checked out the Road ID colors... I kind of think the green is cute - but would probably stick with basic black - and this would be a great addition to help me with my first marathon training that starts in 6 weeks!
