Gear Review and Giveaway: Bondi Band

Before anything else, if you're a GUY reading this, don't go just yet!  I think you should know first that Bondi Band is not solely for us women.  Yes, they do have a line for the dudes too - wicking hats and headbands.  No pink floral design. Promise!  Haha!

Ok moving on...I first saw these pretty bands at the Disney Health Expo, the day before my half mary.  My friend, Gail, was able to buy one that said, "Marathon Momma".  I was digging frantically into a pool of colorful bands -- there's just so much to choose from!  We were in a hurry so believe it or not, I wasn't able to get any!  I was choosing between these 4...

And they don't only make headbands.  They also have swim caps, wicking hats and neck gators, pigtail and ponytail hats and wraps.  So, can you just imagine how confused I was.  I WANTED IT ALLLL!!!
And in the end, i wasn't able to get any.  What a loser!

So when Bondi Band agreed for me to do a review and giveaway for this, can you just imagine how chipper I was?!  It's funny because it took me a while to respond to their email when I was asked to choose a design.  Yes, I still couldn't decide!  I know... it's not brain surgery!

A few hours later, I finally came to a decision and a few days later, I got it in the mail.

When I go out for a run, I usually have this silver Goodie pin that holds my bangs in place, preventing the short strands from flying all over the place.  Then I use a Nike visor which absorbs the sweat on my forehead.  Or I sometimes rely on my bushy eyebrows to do that too.  Just kidding.

But with this Fit and Fabulous Bondi Band I didn't need to wear my pin and my visor.  Goodbye extra weight!  I'm not a sweaty person, but when I do sweat, it's all situated in the head area.  The Bondi headband was able to catch all of it and my band stayed dry.  I also like that the material they use. It is thin and light-weight, so the pores on my forehead can actually still breathe-- leaving my forehead feeling cool.

Lately, I cut my own bangs a little too short. Duh! So I've been using this headband a lot to hide them, er, keep 'em in place. =)  Thank you, Bondi Band for keeping my hot head cool, dry, and looking neat!

Oh, and I think you should also know that they make headbands for babes and furry friends too!  AND...they take custom orders if you want your logo or saying printed on any Bondi Band product -- ideal for schools, bachelorette parties, team logos, events, etc.  How cool is that?!

30 Days of Thanks (Day 11)

I am thankful for COFFEE! I just need one cup of joe to give me a much needed jolt to start my day. It is an important part of my morning as I am unable to function without this.  Think: brain dead! LOL! I am also thankful for preset coffee-makers! I just love waking up to the smell of coffee brewing in our kitchen.  Trust me, in every successful person is a substantial amount of coffee! :p
