It has been raining here the past week and my poor old Mizunos really took a beating --  being drenched by rain and running through puddles.  These Stuffitts which were sent to me to be reviewed couldn't have arrived at a more appropriate time.  Hallelujah! *enter heavenly music*

When I opened the package, the first thing I noticed was the smell of Cedar. Ohlala! The inserts were filled with 100% red cedar chips which were snugly enclosed in this zippered technical fabric.  Of course, I got the hot pink!

As expected, these left my shoes smelling really nice and fresh.  Not that I have a stinky feet or smelly feet issue, ok? (really!).  Haha!  With these foot shaped forms, I don't see the need for foot sprays, powders, insoles and newspapers.

I left them overnight in my wet Mizunos and was happy to see that it was dry the next day. The Stuffitts website says it does the work in under an hour. So, I tested it after I broke in my new Asics GT2150 on yet another rainy day; accidentally submerging my left shoe in a puddle.  Ugh.

So did it work?  Yes.

Did it dry up in under an hour? Not completely, but it was definitely just damp.  I would estimate it to be 80% dry.  And it felt oh-so nice! Not bad at all.


Another feature I like are the detachable carry straps which makes it easier for me to tote my kicks around between workouts.  You can hang it on your shoulder, hang it around your neck, or hand-carry it.  When I was cleaning our entry way, I even hung it on the dining room chair.  How convenient!

Would I recommend it?  Definitely!  I realized that these can also be used with other sporting shoes, work shoes, and even dress shoes.  If you're a soccer mom reading this, yes, these will be perfect for your kids.  I also saw this picture of it being used with VFFs (Vibram FiveFingers)!  Yoohoo!  Calling all VFF users!

The price ($24.95) may seem a little steep at first, but after trying it out, I see that it will be money well spent.  Definitely worth the price since the inner inserts are replaceable and the outer shell is washable.
